Aim & Overview of Course
Research has established that most care of persons with dementia is provided by family caregivers. One of the objectives of the Malta National Dementia Strategy 2013-2020, is to improve the quality of life of individuals living with dementia, their caregivers and family members. The more you know about dementia and what to expect, the more prepared and less stressed you can be.

Learning outcomes
Course Intention
This course is intended for family caregivers, relatives and friends of persons with dementia. The term “family caregiver” refers to those persons who care for relatives and their loved ones and are not formally paid for the service they render.
Programme of Studies
This 10-week programme is held at the Training Centre at St. Vincent De Paul Long Term Care Facility.
Session will be once a week, 2 hours per session.
