Meals on Wheels
The aim of the Meals on Wheels service is to support senior citizens and other persons who are still living in their own home but are unable to prepare a meal.
WHAT YOU'LL GET
One meal per day, which is delivered chilled so that the meal can be consumed at one’s own convenience. It is to be ensured that such meals must be heated prior of being consumed. The menu offers various choices of meals for 7 consecutive days. Each daily meal consists of a starter, main course and a dessert.
Each applicant is asked a set of questions so that it will be ensured that this service is being provided to eligible persons.
ELIGIBILITY
General eligibility criteria:
- Senior citizens over 60 years of age; or
- A person under 60 years of age holding a valid Special Identity (SID-EU) card issued by the Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability (CRPD)
DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
General documentation:
- Filled application form including the medical report signed by a General Practitioner.

This service is against a payment of €2.20 per subsidised meal. Payments in the form of cash must be paid by the beneficiary to the respective driver delivering such meals.
